Deerslayer came up to Ponca today for a little crappie fishing.
Tough day, not much biting and nobody else was having much luck but we kept trying new techniques until we finally connected.
Ended up with 12 crappie and one sand bass.

Nice haul Dennis! What's the average size of those crappie? Looks like some mighty fine eating you've got there....

Approx 11" was average size, I would say. Thet made a quart or so of fillets.
