My sister has a stack of tongue-and-groove planks of this unknown wood that has sat in a dry cellar at her place some 20 years. The planks were used as a kind of ship lap in a room in her house, and were removed during a renovation at that time and saved. The planks are about 90” long, 6” wide, and 3/4” thick, and are of a medium density though it’s possible they dried out a lot during storage. We have a tentative identification, though I’m not certain as I’ve not seen any known good examples of the possible species. What do you folks think it is? BTW, the worm holes were part of the planks as installed. It’s not termite damage in the house ;)
