French made AR-10 in 260 Remington for possible police ans military use

I came across a video from The Armorers Bench going over small arms being sent to Ukraine by Lebel. I thought it was kinda odd that the French are doing military contracts for AR-15 and AR-10 platforms cause the French usually like to do their own odd thing. In the video I perked up when I heard they may be sending AR-10 patterns chambered in 260 Remington. Now this was odd as I never would have thought the 260 Remington as a military or police cartridge. I will attach the link to the video and also Lebels site if you are curious as well. On Lebels site once you scroll down you can clearly see they manufacture AR-10's in 260 Rem for police or military contracts. Its an odd one to me.

I’ve got an extra barrel for my DPMS Gen2 AR-10 that is 260 Rem. The 308 barrel on it is so freaking accurate that I don’t want to swap them out so I might have to find an extra upper to build.
