Just finished mine up spent 2 days on the prep. And hour and a half painting. I did have about half a gallon extra pain and I think I skimped on the first corner afraid I would run out.
Everytime you drop a tool, it will chip, and chip, and chip.
Just like in my kitchen, not a chip after 13 years, and a lot of heavy items dropped and broken.
The key is proper install, improper install will have issues, just like most painted floors will have issues.
And if you chip one you replace it, what are you going to do WHEN the paint starts peeling?

and this is why I didnt epoxy the first shop...no one could tell my if I could patch it if it was scratched off, or burn through from welding...

We did the epoxy paint using Rustoleum at a previous home. the garage was well used and had oil that had seeped into the concrete. Despite our best efforts at cleaning and prepping, we had hot tire pickup the first time we rolled our truck.

I did mine 2.5 years ago with epoxy kit from HIS Paint in OKC. I haven't had any peeling or chips and my garage gets used and abused. I spent about 12 hours on prep but I am a little OCD like that.
Dang, In 2.5 years you think you coulda found something to put in there. Sure looks pretty...but empty!
I did both of my garages in tile about 5 years ago...I've had 1 tile chip. Took all of 10 minutes to fix it. Tile is the long term solution, period.
What type of tile?
