If one has a 19.5 and a 47 they effectively have four different pistol combinations by swapping slides.

A 47/17, a 19, a 45, and a 19L.

Why not just buy a bunch of G45s? Seems like it would have more compatibility with the G19 if that was the goal.

Hmmm. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I fail to understand the importance of being able to put 'this' slide on 'this' frame.

I own 3 Glocks --- a 19, 26, & 36. Each is very different. Only thing interchangeable is that the 19 mags will fit in the 26. And I'm OK with that.
