Going to Vegas for the first time, any suggestions or tips?

But a few questions first.

How long/how many days?

What casino or area of Vegas are you staying?

Just you and the wife/girlfriend?

Gambler or sightseeing?

Flying?

Driving?

Renting a car?


Staying on the Strip or Downtown?

Better yet, rent a car and stay off the strip. The casinos valet park for free and you can get from one to the next pretty fast using the back/side streets. (I've done it both ways, the car works better)

Oh, and don't try to draw to an inside straight!

I'm flying, staying for four days, staying at the Paris, I only wish I was taking my wife and girlfriend, don't know about a rental car, and i'll do a little gambling and sight seeing. My wife will be in a conference during the day.

I've been to Las Vegas 3 times now including getting married there. The best time I ever had was riding the zip lines at Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City. If you're under 250lbs, do it.
