Good Lord, what happened to Facebook Marketplace?

Selling a bunch of stuff from cleaning my garage, not getting any action on 4 or 5 items advertising in my normal places (CL, here).

I am thinking about it, I say hey, I have not used the FB marketplace in a good while, let's see how it does.

I post my things. Within 5 minutes, I have 4 hits on a trundle bed that I have for sale. I am quietly very pleased, this gamble is paying off!

All 4 inquires are from accounts formed in 2023. No followers or friends any any of them. They ALL troll me for my phone number. I reply to just one with my number, immediately get a text with a confidential Google ID pin that the buyer is requesting of me "for their safety." I delete all 4 messages.

It is scammy out there folks, definitely watch yourselves! Also, if anyone needs an unused 20 lb fire extinguisher or empty extinguisher bodies, a trundle bed, hydroponics gear or an old gymnastics training mushroom, give me a shout. Just don't ask for my Google ID pin hahaha.

facebook market is terrible inquired about like 6 boat trailers never go a single reply.

On top of that, the few people that aren't from Mexico will strong me along and then just bail. I'm getting pretty fed up with it personally.
