I was laughing my FAO.
He says, "bet you can't wait to get back to work."
Jump forward 6 months. We go fishing. He is throwing a very lifelike perch lure.
He makes a long, high cast and a huge owl swoops down. Not sure who was more surprised when those treble hooks latched on. The fight was on. I was telling him NOT to reel that PO'd thing into the boat. He wanted his lure back.
Boats were gathering around us, laughing loudly. A GW showed up.
GW had a blanket and leather gloves, caught owl and managed to free it, relatively unharmed, but seriously PO'd.
Boss man never asked for an invite for anything, again.
