Why is the three round burst considered useless? Two versions of select fire.
1. Full auto that disengages the disconnector and engages the auto sear.
2. 3 round burst - two piece disconnector which one side (semi) disengages and the other side engages a three notch (x2) cam and engages the same auto sear. It fires 3 rounds auto then stops.
Burst is useless which is why they went away from it.
They demonstrate both versions in this video.
Because no matter what a shooter does, with few exceptions maybe (probably a good bipod loaded up), the first round will hit, and the other two go somewhere else on planet earth. There isn't any time to adjust for recoil to bring the other two back on target. It's a bullet waster. Why is the three round burst considered useless?
