I want a slim 40S&W for CC

What do you have personal experience with and how doesn't rate? Looking at a Taraus PT740. Open to others. The Glock 27 and Springfield XP sub-compact both have a double wide clip that I just think is too wide to carry in a pocket. I really want a single stack mag. What else should I look at? The only Taraus I have owned was over 25 years ago and I dumped it in 6 months. Thanks for any suggestions. Tim

Kahr. I've got the P9, good CC gun. P40 is just like my 9mm but 40S&W. Kahr also makes some other models too, like the PM series and the CW series.

You might want to take a look at the Walther PPS in 40S&W. I use one for my CCW, it's a very nice shooting gun.

+1 on the Kahr; CW series is one of he best buys out there IMO.

My problem with single stack guns such as these is you might as well carry a revolver with the limited ammo capacity. When your down to 6 to 8 rounds I'd take a .45 any day. They don't have the snap of the .40 and are very accurate. I'm of the camp select the biggest caliber you can shoot well. JMO

dont get me wrong i long my sig but if thickness is a issue i would got with a kahr instead...thats the only thing i wish my 239 was, is thinner...

Kahr or Walther PPS. I just bought a PPS in 9mm and love it. Don't have to worry about printing and shoots great.
