I'm like some others,,,
I would buy a $25.00 Timex,,,
And $775.00 worth of ammunition.

Actually that would probably be $800.00 of ammo,,,
I haven't worn a watch in over 45 years

But hey!,,,
If watches are what twangs your chimes,,,
I know plenty of people who think I'm nuts for buying a $745.00 rimfire rifle.

If i had $800 to spare a watch would be the last thing i would spend it on. Heck even when i was a working stiff it chapped my backside when my $20 watch went to $30 when i had to replace it.
You and me both brother. Those Timex Ironman watches just skyrocketed.

I really like this one. It's really pretty, and I like that it's made with Koa, and the Taylor connection. And I wouldn't mind a gold watch to go with gold rings.

My concern is it might be a thirty dollar watch with a six hundred dollar paint job.

My daughter just bought this one in koa for my birthday.

They have Miyota quartz movements, so nothing special, but far from crap too. Fit and finish is decent. I doubt that I could pay $600, but $300 for an "occasion watch" would be doable for me if it's one I liked. All the ones I've seen are pretty classy looking. This particular one is a big honker at 46mm.

I get it fellas. I’ve been hoarding since I was 14. Im pretty flush on most things.
I’ve been doing watches along the way. Just didn’t realize how much the paths cross between the two until the last few years.

Yep, there is a big crossover between gun people and watch people.
