I'm no expert but I think you'd be fine. Or you could wait til the Bradford pear prunes itself. :)

I need to trim some of my trees up but loaned my saw to a buddy. I have this bad feeling he's probably ran ethanol gas through a Stihl chainsaw...

In my opinion, as long as the chain saw starts up and runs, it is never to late!! :mosh:

Sorry, I had to say it.

I am not sure. I never really paid too much attention when is the right time or not

I prune my Bradford Pears all year round in hopes that they will die, but it hasn't happened yet, the only thing I know that will kill a Bradford is a Rottweiler and another dog named Gunner.

Disreguarding all the ********, its not too late in your location.
Don't wait any longer though. Those in the southern locations have passed the time.

I pruned my apple trees a week ago.
