Alaska in the summer and Florida in the winter?

The wife is from Florida so that's probably where we would go. Good gun laws, no income tax, great weather, beaches, and they could use an influx of educated voters.

I wouldn't live on the eat coast if you paid me.

Well, maybe if you paid me a lot.

West coast rules. I hope I can move west bit by bit.

I've been to a good deal of Maine. It's pretty...but it's Arkansas pretty. Everything is small. Get an actual mountain, east coast, then we'll talk. Oregon coast is second only to Cape Flattery on the list of most beautiful places I've seen. Hunting, fishing...all better. More rural areas (unless you count Maine).

People get nicer as you travel west and more assholish as you travel east, too. This is borderline undeniable. Half my family are Yankees. I don't get 'em. Weird people. I almost had a freakout in Boston once on a stereotypical Boston bro. I can talk to almost any westerner.

West coast. Washington state. For the scenery. Certainly not the political climate. As was said earlier, just keep going north to alaska.
