Found this on my property in the middle of the summer:

I assume it was a water supply for an old homestead, we got to digging out all the dirt and roots.

and in no time it filled up with clear cold water (we hadnt had rain in weeks)

all said and done, this guy was happy he had room to move.

Yeah, we thought so to. So much that we bought a metal detector and started looking around. Evidently, the house either burned to the ground or just rotted down. Every piece of metal is just under the surface, too much junk to filter thru to find anything.

There is well about 75 yards from it. I have 4 man-made wells that have been dug on my land. (two active)

Other than that, there are none. We dug a pond this summer about 150 yards up from this.

I found two boxes of .45 ACP Black Talons in a closet in my grandparents house, left from when my uncle moved to Alaska. He even let me keep them! :-D

Back in about 1988 my Dad found a jean jacket in the middle of the road with a box of 12 gauge shells and a box of .357 Magnum rounds in the pockets... the jacket fit him perfectly and was already nice and broken in. Jackpot!

Show pics of it. It's easy to confuse rocks with incidental agricultural damage with intentionally modified artifacts.
