Picked this up tonight. Scope and magpul angled fore end grip will be here Thursday. May try and shoot it Sunday if I can find some ammo. This is my first AR. I'm a newb.

Technically my second. The first lasted 30 rounds and lower was sold off, the upper is still in the closet. I did not like anything about it. That was almost two years ago. This one I'm very happy with and have not even shot it yet!

What made you decide to go with the Eotech instead of the P223? I would tend to agree with the decision but was curious of the reasoning. Did you get one of the smoking deal 512s that was posted? I considered it.
