That one actually looks unissued. Can't see the barrel, barrel hood or underneath the slide to see if it's been fired much, but that's an exceptionally clean police trade-in.
True but being a service pistol, one would think it made pretty regular trips to the range ....maybe not.
You’re correct, it was unissued. And if fired, it has very low round count. It wasn’t cheap. But I’ve always wanted one. Fortunate enough to finally get my hands on one!
They hold several in reserve for immediate replacements, in the event an officer's pistol is damaged or becomes inoperative for some reason. Those rarely see much use and some have been turned in pretty much brand new. Whenever I dealt with PD trades, most would be in rough shape cosmetically but be pretty low round count mechanically. Yet there would always be a near pristine one or maybe more, depending on the size of the agency.
I hadn't thought of that.
