My son and I just tried the Beef Taco MRE

And dang if it isn't the best American MRE I've had. It was really good.

The Santa Fe rice and beans were not just awesome, but good for an MRE.

I'd search these out in the field if I was having to eat MREs.

The tortilla really falls apart though.

If you warm it up in a a jet boil of some
Other method of hot waterput the tortilla sealed pouch in the warm water for a few minutes toward the end. It really softens up the tortilla and makes it not fall apart near as bad.
