I have a push tool, send you a PM if you dont still have my number. BTW you can rupture the vile in your night sights by using a punch if you are not careful.
Not a gunsmith here but shouldn't you install the new sight from the same direction you drift out the old site?
Where do you get the vials?yes but not because you can't go the other way in .. groove is parallel not a taper with an interference fit.
it's easier not to change ergonomics by changing setup .. your strike motion is also figured out.
here's what tritium vials look like .. been mounting tritium vials in flashlights for about 10 years.
bench blocks are pretty darn handy to have around too
Where do you get the vials?
All of the sources I've found are overseas.
I want to try making some night sights out of the factory sights on a Shield.
Not off topic at all. In fact I love all comments and recommendations. Thanks everyone. Learning lots of new things with all this.I guess this is not off topic since OP started with question about night sights?
the best place to buy tritium tubes/vials/buttons, etc. in small quantities is from Bart's thread on Candlepowerforums
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?399475-B-rt-s-Tritium-thread
he's a known dependable supplier and has been for 5+ years
every once in a while on CPF .. someone will make an offer to sell extra large tritium tubes from a special run.
super pricey $275 Tritium exits signs are still available
the feds has to know where they will be mounted
