Oil Cap USPSA Sept 13 Sunday

Oil Capital USPSA shoots Sunday September 13. Plan on 125 rounds (seems like we always shoot nearer 150+) in 6 stages, including a Classifier. Sign-in at 9:30, with walk-thru at 10 AM. Set-up commences at 7:30, as usual. Match fee is $15 ($10 to OCR&GC members). With the moderating temperatures we can branch out to some more prop-intensive courses of fire; read this as “more fun”.

The weather couldn’t make up its mind; first heavy rain, followed by light drizzle, then more moderate rain, all interspersed with dry periods. What we did do is set up 4 stages with lots of steel (including Texas Stars), several weatherproof cardboard as well as a goodly number of activator operated moving targets. There was even a Classifier. Stages were set so that only the RO and the shooter had to be in the elements. With everyone’s cooperation stage scoring and taping went well. The conditions weren’t as challenging as I’d expected at 5 AM on match day. Classifier was CM 06-10, Steely Speed VII.

We’ll trust that our October 11th match will have fewer “what to set to shoot” challenges. I’ll ready!
