I have an old Savage 110 I inherited. It’s a 7mm mag action with a hack job stock fitting. I was able to shoot a couple of rounds and it (metal portion) seemed to hold together fine. Does anyone know if a long action synthetic stock would fit this or do I need to pass it on to someone else for a project gun. It’s a 5 digit serial number so it’s maybe a 1960s production.

An LA stock would be fine. I seen to recall that the 110 LAs have the same spacing.

And that bluing is beautiful compared to today's guns. I'd keep that one.

The bluing is something I haven’t seen on newer savages but it has a fair amt of rust on it. I took some 0000 steel wool & lightweight oil to it and smoothed it out some. I think it needs an extractor too.

My brother's old 110 was one of the most accurate rifles out of the box I've ever seen.
Good luck with your stock search. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
