Just so everyone knows, this petittion has been around for YEARS, and it's just now up to 12,800ish signatures.

I clicked the link and it said I had already signed it at postion 41.

Just FYI that it's not a NEW petittion, just the same old one. But still, SIGN UP!

Thought this looked familiar. It told me I am number 6944 already. Is this not to late, or are they trying it again?

#12845 Hopefully it'll work this time. Once it was veto'd and brought back up for a revote, 6 democrats that had previously voted for it ended up voting against it, which was just enough to stop it. I'll see if i can find that list again and share it with everyone.

Also note that because this petition is not legally binding against the parties it is addressed to, it is more of a feel-good thing.

What will work is voting out those who voted against it (especially those who changed their votes on the override) and replacing them with someone who will be for it. And you must be sure to let their replacement know that they, too, will receive the same fate in 2012.

Its not quite like that. This is year number 3 beginning. I am number 2 on the list. My buddy started it and hes number 1

I don't think it will ever pass. It's just no politically expedient for our political friends in the State Legislature either side of the isle. They will give lip service to it.

I think it could pass. It's already been passed once by both the house and senate. But then the anit-gun governor who doesn't trust the citizens to be responsible and take care of themselves veto'd it. Then the sheep switched their vote when brought up for override. All we need is to get a truly pro-gun governor and make the right changes in the house and senate, and it'll pass without a doubt. I like to remain optomistic.
