The first 9 x 23 Winchester factory run I'm aware of was some supposedly 5,000 pc of Colt 1911 Series 70 Government's. The USPSA crowd ran it in custom barreled race guns to some extent. The case head is like a 9 x 19 and has the same sharp case taper; it feeds great! The casehead is really stout to handle the similarly stout pressures. In this country Winchester loaded it in Silvertips X923W as well as White Box Q4304 practice ammo. I don't know of loadings by any other of the majors.Do I dare ask, what is X23?
