If individuals would stop buying up all the rifles at retail and flipping them, things would get back to normal.

Free market theory is not a one way street. You have the right to refuse service to anyone.

I'll be a "hater", to a POS that would try to profit off of someone's goodwill, absolutely.

The guy runs a gun store, he knows all about making a buck. The problem here is that he was specifically selling the rifle to give someone who has been trying to buy one, a chance to buy it at a good price. His intention was not to sell a gun to somebody for them to resell it, he could do that himself. He was trying to do something nice for the community.
