The pilots like the F35. The biggest problem is not with the aircraft but with the political types messing with the program.

The T-50 is junk. Underpowered, buggy, and not terribly stealthy. I read where Jane's Aviation computer mock combat machines had our old F-15Es knocking them down in droves, like a 40 - 1 kill ratio.

Most everything has a hard time up against the 40+ year old basic design of the 15's. Fortunately the Ruskies never got their copy perfected.

Unfortunately that is pretty normal now days, and the members of congress do not help by insisting on engines the military does not want or need.
