Smith and wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty. / .38 special built on the 44 frame(N Frame) to shoot super high pressure .38 special before the invention of .357 magnum. not sure on the age of it exactly, somewhere in the 30's I believe. lots of holster wear and some past passed pitting. But a pretty decent shooter. Front sight has been filed on seems tight but I have not shot it, just don't need it I have too many others.
