it was our pleasure to meet you today! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your little piece of heaven and harvest a few animals. Next time we are down, we'll try to bag a few more. Like you said, it's still early in the season. Pelts were very nice! We have them in a group to tan this summer.

So how many did you get? What do you make with squirrel hides?

We were out for about 2 1/2 hours Sunday and saw a total of 5, picked off 4 and brought three home. The 4th was a close shot and while it thoroughly killed the critter, it wasn't useful for much. It's early in the season yet, it will pick up.

Not sure what we're going to use the hides for. May end up making a possibles bag from them, they are large enough.

Unless its battered And fried with a side of taters, okra and sliced garden tomatoes. We grew up eating like this cause we were poor, turns out its still my favorite meal!
