@Beautiful Mulberry was interested in learning a little about Contenders so thought I’d post a couple pics of mine.
Here is a scoped 14”BB 30-30

and a gaggle consisting of a 14”BullBarrel 44Mag, 10” 357 Maximum, 8” 222 Remington and an 8” Match 22LR

Ya know I’m a liar. My rememberer was broken. After looking at those pics I went down and measured…..the barrels are 10” and 14”. Sorry.

Wish I had a 30 Herret but the 30-30 recently presented itself and after some reading looks like its accuracy has been drastically improved moving to the 14” Bull Barrel. It also came with a Tasco 2x8x32 4-Plex lifetime warrantied “custom” scope and forend for $265 including freight I think I did pretty well.

I had a 30-30 and a 44mag along with the others but they got stolen some 30 years ago

There's a 357 Herret on gunbroker right now. My dad had one and it was a shooter. There's a 30 Herret barrel or two also.

Wow! Those are beautiful! I’ve seen these briefly. How’s the recoil with 30-30? This is really something! I need to shoot one, one day! How many caliber does this weapon have?
