oh i read about this engine in Hot Rod 15 or so years ago..plenty of were to be production and experimental engines like this were made by all brands,,,,Pontiac made the RAV engine for production, a tunnel port 400,single 4 bbl carb ,high rise intake, huge intake and exhaust ports,6500 redline,, it got axed for excessive emissions and too much HP,estimates that 200 were made ,some given away, some sold for 200$,,also in the late 1960's SOHC and DOHC v8 400/421 engines were built and dyno tested by Pontiac,, one SOHC engine survives and running in a 1963 grand prix,, malcolm Mackellar's car, he was a cam designer for GM.for a great read about the muscle car era go to your local library and find a copy of Glory Days , by Jim Wangers, he was the Godfather of the Muscle Car era..and plenty of his vids on u tube, he was a great story teller..
