Just going to throw this one out there for some debate. We are in the throes of a long term drought. We must all ration with even or odd watering for landscape based on address. Unless you live at the golf course. Check the links for the water consuming plans for the "Downtown Boathouse District". Did anyone who voted for MAPS 3 really know the depth of the plans for this area? Some may argue that a lot of corporate dollars are being invested to offset the costs of this Grand Vision but I have to ask, "When was the last time it was possible to buy rain"?

A total waste of money. I wouldn't even call it a river. It's a rock lined canal and an ugly one at that. Instead of MAPS spending anymore money downtown how about sidewalks and covered bus stops around the whole metro area? I'm sitting here freezing my rear end off in frozen, snow covered Anchorage, Alaska and never once thought about going to the Boat House District for a vacation. Never. If it had been the Cat House District it might have got my upright attention. For boats I'd go to the ocean where they have water and wetness.

Try driving by the State buildings on odd/even days and see when those sprinklers are turned off. Yeah, no, they aren't ... Same with any major corporate "sponsor". Seems some landscaping is more essential than others ...

I agree with Old Fart. It will improve OKC as a social destination.

Now that Indian cultural center/ dirt pile thing? Let it go or make it a riverfront casino. No love lost on the slimy, corrupt individuals that are "Developing" it.

I water my lawn no days a week so they can have my extra water.

I really just hate mowing.

If I could figure out how to grow concrete I would re seed my whole yard. But so far I havent figured that out and last I checked concrete was $100 a yard......I dont hate mowing that much yet.
