After the recent Bundy Ranch episode by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Texans are becoming more concerned about the BLM’s focus on 90,000 acres along a 116 mile stretch of the Texas/Oklahoma boundary. The BLM is reviewing the possible federal takeover and ownership of privately-held lands which have been deeded property for generations of Texas landowners.
We know...we just don't want the .govs who are watching us to know that we know. Crap. I spilled the beans. Never mind. I don't know.
I just read that article... which seems somewhat short on info as to why the BLM is stepping in. But either way, it's effed up.
Something about the river being the Stateline and moving...

I have read and watched a few things about this. I think the short version is, when the red river erodes one way, Texas landowners lose land....but if the river erodes back the other direction, it becomes federal land.
They are trying to say when the river moves south or norts, they get to claim the land in between where the river moved.
Dont expect them to "know". I corresponded with a rather well placed Texan who did not know about this Red River land grab - nor the BLM oil leases and other business they have a finger in over in the Republic of Texas.
These govt agencies (all of them) operate out side the Consitution of the US and need to have their powers limited by law. You folks have been sabre rattling for years... it's time to show up.
