They're nice pistols. Is your 3913 a former police gun? (Fair number of those seem to be floating around this region.)

I'm not sure of the origin of this one. It doesn't have any dept. markings. I got it from a guy in Arkansas via Armslist.

That's a good start! Which one do you like the best? I know, I know, it's like picking your most favorite kid. Can't be done.

I just got the 3913 so I haven't got to the range with it yet but will this weekend. I like it though. Thin, light, about the size of a G19 but single stack and made of metal. If I had a favorite, at this point it would probably be the 5906. Those, IMHO, are the quintessential 9mm pistol. The 4566 is always close by at night however.

its an addiction isint it? I want a 4566 bad, actually i have a wishlist of them, 1066, 4506-1, etc

I think this will complete the 3rd Gens for me. I could probably sweet talk my ex out of the former TPD gun she got in the divorce. I'm wanting to say it is a 4006. Don't really need it though. The 1066 would be cool but just one more caliber to support.

good looking collection. Pre-election you could purchase 3rd gen smiths fairly inexpensive. I have bought at least 4 4046's for less than $300, a 4506 and a 1006 over the years for good money. The good thing about any of these, is you can pistol whip someone, bust a window, break a toe..if you drop it, and of course shoot someone without worrying if the gun going to go off. These feel like a good ole pistol is supposed to. I love a glock, but you know you got your hands on your piece when you grab a steel gun. :-)

I got a 5946 once for $175 with 3 mags. I think it was a Broken Arrow PD gun. I've gotten a couple of others for $275 or less and my current 3913 was $300 with 3 mags. I'll try to post pics later.
