I'm going to upgrade the sights on my 1911 that I use for USPSA.
I'm looking for something with the fastest acquisition possible, I need all the help I can get.
I'm thinking about the Novak wide notch rear with a fiber optic front (maybe EGW).
Any reccomendations?

Fast target acquisition is great but accuracy is a big point also. I like a fiber front and rear. I use Dawsons on all my comp guns. Makes for a really quick sight alignment, especially on long or very tight shots.

How about Novak Adj. Red Fiber Optic Rear & a Novak Green Fiber Optic Front?

It's all personal preference, but I think the Warren's are the best.

The diameter of the FO tube on the Novak front sites is huge. There's not much black around the fiber. For me that makes it kind of difficult for those shots that need to be long and accurate since the FO tube essentially covers the part of the front site that I need to focus on. It's just very "busy" up there.

The Warren's have a kind of countersunk tube but leave a good bit of black area up front. Seems cleaner to me.

All that said...I currently use Novak's. If and when I decide to change I'll probably just go to a plain black front.

But, I can't seem to find the Warren Fiber Optic front for 1911.
