what's the best truck/car pistol safe?

been reading about all the recent pistol thefts from cars....

getting ready to order a "Gunvault GV1000D-DLX Mini Vault Deluxe Gun Safe" at Amazon for $91 w/free shipping.

only need to store one pistol safely in the rare instances. there's a need to briefly leave my pistol inside my truck.

this one has the very desirable feature of opening with a combination by touch. are there any better options out there?

Sports World has a few differemt sizes of Nano Vault 100/200 from if I remember right in $24 to $30 something range and come with a securtiy cable.

safe would be bolted to something solid... perhaps a key version would be better?

I have an older model Gunvault without the external power adapter, but it is a battery hog. Maybe you could wire it into your car battery. I would opt for a mechanical lock.

That works in a pinch, but I can have that cuff off in about 10 seconds with a Bobby pin.
