Alright, a couple of these are poorly-thought-out.
no they're not. lib policies are poorly thought out.
Actually Ford is making an electric van that's targeted at fleet vehicles making intra-city deliveries, which makes a lot of sense as an application
and how do you "charge up those vans, oh yea you have to plug them into something that has to burn coal to provide electricity for those vans, another thing you dont like (burning coal). and then what do you do with ALL those batteries that need replacing later? why not just stick with the simple solution? nope gotta jack everything up for the environmental hoax, got it.
Liberals haven't really been pushing that agenda recently
...really...whatever
Even in the most socialist countries, tons of people seem to have jobs.
..wow, why even argue with this, you want a job in america or north korea? no really itll be great, have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! you want to be poor in america or iran..really man arguing this stuff is ...damn gotta control my...
Great conservatives like Barry Goldwater had intelligent bases for their beliefs and made strong arguments. Simplistic crap like this just hurts your argument.

you do realize that solar energy can still be gathered when the sun is not out. In reality solar energy gathering increases by about 50% whenever the clouds come out and block the sun due to the light still going through the clouds along with the reflection through the clouds. The energy gathered does also not just disappear at night. It is stored and used when needed. The other thing you fail to realize is that solar and wind energy are not a cure all. They have come about to try and prolong the life of fossil fuels so that we can find a concrete solution to our problems.

help when you need electricity when your solar and wind dont provide any when the sun goes down and theres no wind blowing.
Large scale wind plants are constructed in well mapped 'Wind Corridors' where the wind blows nearly constantly at the altitude where the wind energy is tapped.
In addition, when the wind declines at one farm it usually picks up at another and the total interconnected amount of energy remains relatively constant.
Energy companies have done their homework and they have a good handle on the best ways to integrate wind power into the grid.

China is pushing to become the world leader in wind and solar power technology because they know they are going to need all they energy they can get their hands on.
You'll find few 'environmental wackos' in China.

I realize that blacksmiths just hated to see transportation migrate to automobiles instead of horses but you can only fight progress for so long.

Edison promoted DC current till he was blue in the face, preached about how dangerous Tesla's AC current was and fought him in court for years.
But in the end, the technological superiority of AC current prevailed.

And all along the way, some individuals fought against change and some embraced it. :)

This assertion has no real evidence to back it up; at least you haven't provided any.

This argument ignores the HILARIOUS inefficiency of the internal combustion engine and the economies of scale that come with producing lots of power in one place instead of lots of little places.

...really...whatever

This is a fantastic argument.

Erm, North Korea is a really poor implementation of communism. I was talking about the "market socialist" system that they like in Europe these days. I'm not even arguing that it's a great economic system, just that your assertion that "everyone will stop working and go on the welfare if the SOCIALIST NOBAMAS take over" is ridiculous.

you want to be poor in america or iran..

LOL @ calling Iran communist.

really man arguing this stuff is ...damn gotta control my...
..

I'm sorry that debate makes you angry.
