It seems impossible to tell what happened or what seems like a possible scape claim or not. "and I quote, "I've got something for you"" and his safety being on... i looked at the front door and I cannot see how more than two or three guys standing side by side putting holes in this guy could equal 71 hits, without it being blatant misuse of force. and then they claim the found no money, but wont say they found drugs either, but say they found something relevant to the case? Did they try... knocking and serving the paperwork before busting the window and door in?

and the written story makes no sense either, so shes in the other room with the kid, yet they are already inside and in the same room pointing guns at her, and then the husband gets them into the closet while he grabs his gun?

whole thing wreaks of one side trying to cover its ass, and the other side trying to profit from the aftermath.

The entire neighborhood was being raided simultaneously for drug houses. His house made it on the list as suspected and had a warrant thus issued. Many houses were hit all at once. The marine was asleep on the couch when police broke in, wife and child screamed and he grabbed his ar-15. After that, stories differ. Wife said there has been a lot of home invasions and so he was weary of anyone even if they announced themselves as police. SWAT said they knocked and announced themselves and after the marine refused to open the door, the forced entry upon which he threatened them at the same time another shot was fired (reported to be at the house next door) and the SWAT took it as a lethal threat and responded. Wife said she was there and said he made no such threat and that the police barged in as a No-Knock Raid and opened fire upon seeing him with AR-15 in hand. Wife also reported that he was alive and begging for help for 5 minutes while the police swept the house and the police refused to evacuate him until the house was cleared upon which he had expired.

Sad story, pisses me off all the No-Knock raids.

Regardless of what the story is, it is pretty sad that he survived two tours in Iraq only to be gunned down in his own home.

I hate to see things like this happen. I hope SWAT was in the right and not trying to cover something up. Keep us posted on that they find out.

Lot of knee jerkin in this thread.

On a side note I lol'd at how that aticle was written. It's unfortunate the man is dead, but could you have not found an actual news story instead of the sovereign nation style BS?
