For what it is worth, I would love to see Congressman Paul run 3rd party too, and even be on the ballot in OK. Even if it cost the GOP beating Obama, I would love to see Paul suck it up and show some guts.

As an independant looking at the GOP field i see no reason to not vote for Paul. Romney, Newt and the rest are same old Republicans, with same old tired message. So for me its Paul or Obama. Its disheartening that i feel im being forced to vote for liberals or radicals. Maybe someday a moderate will run and i can be proud of casting a meaningfull vote.

The days of Moderates are over. A more moderate or centrist government would get way more done than the polarized government we have now.

Not tryin to hijack this thread but after thinkin about it a little more i dont know what i am. Im registered as an independant because im not a dem or repub. Im pro gun, for less government regulations, anti abortion but pro choice, pro states rights and pro healthcare. Im a vet but im anti war on terror or whatever this middle east mess is. Dont like any gop candidate and not a fan of obama. So maybe im not a moderate but im not a lib or conservitive either.

Agreed... our .gov needs to do less, not more.

Two things I'd like to see... term limits and a balanced budget. I think those two things alone would do more to turn Washington over on its head than anything else, in a good way.

This I can agree with.

Rick, are you sure. If Obama is re-elected he will change the supreme court.

That is the only big risk and the 2nd reason I would vote for whoever the GOP nominee is. My hope is that enough true conservative Republicans pick up enough seats in both houses to over rule whichever dumba$$ end up in the WH because whoever it is out of the current possible winners is not somebody I can have any real faith in.

Yep, it's kinda big deal..since the old Kennedy left us, all supreme court nominees seem to be approved regardless of the make up of congress.
