I was fine with that woman wearing the garb, thought it a bit odd since she's not Muslim, but whatever. Then I read that she'd petitioned the court to make every woman present do the same. I about choked.
Great idea, let's cater to the sensitivities of the defendant.

Just once I'd like for someone to consider that certain things might offend ME ... and then offend everyone else on the planet making sure I'm the one single person whose not offended. If they are that offended, then maybe they need to stay in their jail cells. Seems I also heard about the defense attorney questioning the judge about his credentials ... I can't believe she got away with that. If she had any other defendants she'd been cited for contempt of court.

It's gonna be a dog and pony show ... But in the end I have no doubt the defendants will get what they deserve (within the limits of the law, of course).

Her request doesn't bother me. She has the right to make the request, all though I don't agree, it's her job to honor the request of her clients. Now, I will have an issue if the women start dressing more conservative in order to appease the defense.

Whatever it takes to actually get thru a speedy trial with a speedy verdict, then a speedy sentence. Then close the base down. Quick and quiet, let justice be done, with nothing left to be martyred.
