I wonder if the anti-gougers ever buy anything at a bargain price and, if so, how they handle the guilt.

I'm not sure what that means. The last time this happened when ammo came back down to earth I purchase a few thousands worth of ammon on my credit card and as I've shot it I replaced it. I could sell all that ammo and maynot have made a dime but I can shoot. You wanted that new car, tv, vacation,gun......okay we all have a limited budget.

Let me clue you in what happen in the last AWB with a grandfather, forget the guns they are a dime a dozen. Purchase the high cap mags. In the 21st century make sure you have several months of ammo if you shoot regular. Banning guns when anyone with a decent machine shop can make them isn't a solution but they sure can tax ammo and compoents out of site like smokes and booze.

That's why I don't sell anything, those too cheap to buy an extra box of 10 dollar ammo when they shoot claim your charging too much when someone wants 16 when you can't get it and there it's uncertain when prices come down and how much it will be. Those are the same people that claim someone is rich because they didn't buy all those new cars, big house, and vacations over the last 40 years and saved some for retirement but they can't retire on SSN so it must be unfair. Maybe they should just take mine greddy gut since you pissed every dime you had when you were making it.

Sorry for the low count post guys, this is directed to those that know better and have 10 times more guns than I do but no ammo...................unreal.

It means, those who are morally opposed to "gouging", shouldn't ever find themselves in the position of advantage in any transaction, unless they're hypocrites.

OK, here's the economic truth that you didn't learn in public school - no voluntary transactions occur unless BOTH PARTIES feel they have gotten the better deal.

Okay I didn't mean to quote ya. My bad, must have hit the wrong button.

I'm finding most of this funny really those hating those that purchased that cheap $600 to $800 dollar AR at Walmart before Christmas seem it's sour grapes to me. If that was your dream gun then you should have had it they've been dirt cheap for several years. I bet now those same people would somehow come up with the money now had they know what was to happen in a week or two ago.......go figure.

I just think it sucks that people are taking advantage of other peoples fears.
Fair enough. I'm not really thrilled that the panic buying is driving up prices and causing unnecessary (IMHO) scarcity, but I'm not going to judge anybody's motives, whether they're buying, selling, or doing neither. Maybe that guy who just bought a case of .223 to flip just had his first lucky break after a long losing streak; you never can tell...

What gets me is the people who ask you to sell something and then get mad at your price. I have had a guy asking me to sell him a few of my 10-22 mags. I said "No." He asked me if I really thought that I needed about 20 of them. I said "That is why I bought them.". Then he ask me to just sell him a couple. I said "ok." "The BX25 is going for about $85 each on Ebay right now, so I will let you have two of mine for $50 each." He then hits me with the old. "You paid 1/2 of that." I said. "Yep."

Why not here? You post something in the classifieds that is too high it sinks to the bottom and you don't sell it. You post something that someone needs at a price they are willing to pay it sells. That's how it has always worked. There is no screwing or gouging that can be done in a market for goods that are not life essential in a natural disaster.
