Seeing as there are so many steakhouses, I figured this would be a good thread to follow the Mexican food thread.

Saltgrass in Norman gets my vote. Perfectly cooked porterhouse every time and tastes amazing, hell I even eat the salad they give you too. If you've never been there, I would advise against trying the one on i240, I have been there twice and while it is still better than Santa Fe or Logan's, it was not worth $100 for two, stick to the Norman location.

The Ranch up on Britton. Gonna cost you some dough, but a nice place to take your lady friend on a special evening.

Cattlemen's, on Agnew in Stockyards City, OKC. Get the filet, rare. I've been a lot of places and paid a lot of money for some really good steak, and I STILL haven't found one that is better than good old Cattlemen's filet right here in OKC. My old lady can get REALLY close with a real good cut of meat though.

Mahogany's on Memorial. Damn good steaks. As good as Peter Luger's or Morton's. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. And they have the best service in the city. Owned by the same people that own Charlestons.

Jake's Rib in Chicksha. No one gets the steak there. Get the steak combo and you get a large steak and half order of any other BBQ meat on the menu. Great flavor.

If you ever have the privilege, enjoy a steak cooked by Jon Beanland... He'll ruin every other steakhouse for you for life, as nothing will ever stack up to what he serves

New steak eater here, and I'm trying to figure out what took me so long. So far, my favorite is the New York Strip at The Longhorn. I heard 50/50 on Cattleman's so I got a gift card to go there from work, I'll never go back. For one, presentation sucks for food and the appearance of the diner, ever hear of updating? I got the porter house, too much fat and grissle, side options were very limited, my wife got a sirloin, one little peice of meat in the middle of a big plate and a small helping of mashed potatoes on the side, lemonade was terrible, had to be tap water with a little lemon squeezed in. And the waiter acted like he would have rather been any where else than helping us. Maybe it was just hyped up too much for my taste and led to a bigger let down.
