I like a really nice porterhose or t-bone.

Will any of the places mentioned locally let you pick the size of the steak you want ?

The reason I ask is that I've seen on the Food Channel where some steak houses across the country will let you pick the size of your steak like a 14, 16, 24, 32 ounce t-bone .

Filet is way overrated, anywhere you go. Not enough fat, they're too lean.
Go with a bone-in ribeye, otherwise known as a Cowboy steak. Or go with a porterhouse, that way you get the best of both worlds.

Oh, and the best place to get a steak in the city is at my house.....but the service stinks. :)

Prime Steakhouse in downtown Tulsa. Owned by the same young man that owns Junipers. Pricey, but so awesome it is worth it. They spell Prime something like Phryme. It's at 2nd and main.

1. The Ranch (This is not up for debate.)
2. Longhorn (If I'm feeling cheap.)

Haven't been to Mahogany. Sound like I need to try it. Though if I'm going for prime, I know for a fact the Ranch is awesome so it's hard to try something unknown.

Also, Ken's in Amber is 10 minutes away. I will drive an hour one way every time to get a good steak if that tells you anything.
