Republican Rep. Notices IRS Agents Training with AR-15s ‘I’m Looking Into the Issue'

This little item could give the IRS’ whole “targeting” conservatives scandal a brand-new twist.

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) tweeted that he observed IRS agents training with AR-15s when he toured the Department of Homeland Security:

If so, they surely don't NEED AR's but they WANT them because they're fun to shoot, and they need some way to burn up all those billions of rounds of ammo they've been hoarding

The IRS, like almost every other government agency, has credentialed, sworn law enforcement officers. Nobody should be surprised about LEOs training with ARs since, as we all know, ARs have become a basic and common tool of both LEOs and civilians.

The bigger issue is the the efficacy and fiscal prudence of every agency having their own LEOs....some consolidation might be in order.

Where does the constitutiion even allow for a federal police force. That should be left to the individual states, and particularly at the county level. Arming a standing military force for the defence of our nation.. sure but we don't need a federal police force of any kind.
