The news media needs to quit covering these things. I'd bet a Benjamin that they would happen less frequently if they did. It's pretty stupid IMO, they don't know squat, the authorities aren't going to say squat, but it's a mad dash to get the sat trucks there and setup so they can report what they don't know. Alllllldaaaayyyy long live coverage of nothing concrete. All we get out of this hubub is "Shooter had grey hair and had a evil black gun! You heard it here first!" Pretty pathetic IMO...

The first thing the media says is: "the shooter purchased the guns legally." They've only refered to the shotgun --- here's from two different sources on the other weapons --- if true:

From NBC Article: "Alexis appears to have seized firearms from two of his victims as he moved through the building along the Anacostia River in southeast Washington, where 3,000 Navy employees go to work each day, many of them carrying authorized firearms."

From "Mail On Line" Article: Starting to come out now. "This guy started off with only a shotgun. He shot the guard in the head at the gate, took his service 9MM and initiated his first shootings. He then ambushed a 1st responder police officer, shooting him and taking his AR-15 and continued his attack."
