I ran the vege oil for a couple years for our 6.0l and 7.3l powerstrokes. Got tired of messing with it, we drive too many miles....we both drive about 30000 miles a year

Yeah it takes some time but I have it down to a science. Its almost more of a hobby.

I enjoyed it at first, but not every night or every other night. Was on the verge of buying a centrifuge, then the price of diesel went back down, and I slowly quit. Don't miss it.

Did you have a two tank system on your truck? What system was it? I use a fuge and dont have to mess with it but once a week or so and I simply start it and let it go while I do other things in the shop.

Not a two tank system, just used existing fuel system. 7.3l would run on a 75/25 oil/diesel mix in the tank year around, the 6.0l ran 50/50 in the summer, but only 25% vege to 75% diesel in the winter.

Saw a ton of info on spinning old motor oil, I've got access to a ton of it............just could't make myself do that one.

Good thing you stopped before you cratered those engine. It was just a matter of time with this method.

They vege oil was filtered down to 1 micron before it went in the tank.................it didn't go from the fryer to the tank it that's what you're thinking.......it wouldn't have made it a week unfiltered. Both engines ran this way for almost 60k miles trouble free. How many miles on yours?

I dont want too toot my own horn but I am quite a expert in the wvo world. Injecting cold wvo into an engine causes incomplete combustion and had you gon another 20k, 30k 40k miles, carbon buildup would have eventually cratered an engine.
The explanation of this is lengthy and I wont go all in but to simplify: heat a skillet to 700* surface temp, Drop a tspn of wvo (cold, say 60*) in it, it will smoke like hell and carbon up the pan before it fires off.
Now do the same with wvo that is heated to say 160*, it will ignite instantly with no smoke or carbon. Someone 11 years ago explained it to me just like that and they are dead right. Same thing happens in your combustion chamber. Less so mixed with diesel but still the same overall condition.
I have 200k miles on 2 different ford diesels. One is a 6.0 with 190k miles and a recently converted 7.3 with about 10k miles. I run a seperate two tank heated wvo fuel system. Roughly $40k in diesel saved. This is the system I run http://www.biofuelstechnologies.com/

I predicted this..... :) What was total cost of the equipment and install?

Didn't you have nearly 300,000 miles on the 6.0?
