How long before people are screaming to bring the Big 12 back to at least 12 teams? I'm personally surprised we haven't made further attempts to add back to the conference. I feel for TCU/Baylor. The committee left them both out so as not to have to deal with the co-championship/head to head issue.

In my opinion from watching them play, TCU was clearly the better complete team of the two (TCU/Baylor). They got into a shoot out with Baylor and moved away from their great defensive play they've had all year, and it cost them, and in turn cost them their chance at the playoff's. I think the committee did the right thing, to prevent a pissing match between Baylor/TCU. I do think TCU belongs there, but at the same time, it is hard to deny Ohio State's last few wins despite their injuries, and the last win of the season over a ranked opponent, and just completely dominating them.

If it came down to making the decision based upon the last game only, they still made the right choice.

OSU played a ranked opponent, and TCU didn't. OSU is a conference champion, TCU isn't.

OSU 59-0 over #13 Wisconsin, while TCU didn't shut down a non ranked Iowa State in a 55-3 win. If style points mattered, and I imagine they would in a close race for the #4 spot, OSU had the edge in every category, including being an outright conference champion.

OU was a quality win for both TCU and Baylor until they lost to OSU last night. I wonder where these two teams would be had OU finished the game and won yesterday.

I'm not knocking on the Sooner's, but OU wasn't a quality win for any elite team this year. If OU had won, they still would have been towards the bottom of the rankings, and with OSU (Ohio State), knocking off #13 in a 59-0 win last night, would have proved nothing by beating a poorly coached and injury riddled OU earlier in the season. If OU was playing like they were capable of this year, it would have been a different story, and I think OU had it in them to be in the top 10 if their OC would have let them actually play.

They will continue getting hosed until they fix the conference and have one true champion. Co-championships aren't going to cut it.

But that's the thing. . .haven't you seen the Big XII TeeVee Commercials? "Ten teams. . .nine games. . .one true champion"

So their advertising campaign touts round-robin play and one true champion (thus making a jab at conferences in which all the teams don't play each other). . .and yet we still are in this situation.
