farm subsidies were created to protect an important American industry from foreign trade discrepancy. to protect the American farmer and help keep him competitive in the world market. tariffs and trade deals also. the farmer doesn't control the price he gets for his product and there is little wiggle room for cost control either. it isn't really completely about cheap food but more about trade, and we all know who benefits from that don't we? what about oil? see anything similar? we all know that most subsidies programs aren't what they started out as. we all need to look at he subsidies we collect, school loan grants, tax refunds, supplemental nutrition, school lunch, tax credits to industries and on and on and on>>>>>>>>>

"Trump has attacked Cruz’s eligibility repeatedly, warning that Democrats will file lawsuits challenging his ability to serve as president in a general election." Word.

legalities aside ... have always thought a fundamental requirement for USA President is to be born on US soil ... this would make Cruz an Canadian anchor baby .. like everyone politicians are entitled to their opinion, but not to their own facts.

Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil and you're a thousand miles from the corn field. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower

As for farming, I never said farming wasn't easy. A good business plan is easy. All that needs to be done is to get government out of the way. In other words, don't adopt a business plan that relies upon government to stay in business.

If Trump is the last man standing I will vote for him rather than not voting and the chance that Sanders, Clinton, Biden or Bloomberg might get the majority of electoral votes. Bloomberg was a Republican in his other life and turned tail and became a Democrat-he could change back but I wouldn't take any chances.
