Interesting thread. Interesting stances.

One thing is clear. The R party needs to get their crap together. I would agree that Trump is their own Frankenstein. I would also agree that it's BS for the R party to be trying to figure out a way to move Trump out of the spotlight. Common ground needs to be met inside the party. Otherwise it's going to be ugly in November.

If they don't get on the same page quick, the D party will just sit back and chuckle as they watch the other side collapse around itself.

Mitt Romney just certified that Tump will get the nomination.

this is total BS! Trump has won all his primaries fair and square. it looks poorly on the GOP to be attacking Trump, the front runner from all possible angles. doing so ignores the fact that hoards of folks have come out in total support for Trump. it's a fact a major load of those folks are NOT a normal part of GOP. look no further than all the record turnouts ..these are brand new folks to the GOP, which basically is spitting on em.

Trump routinely gets 35k+ people to turn out for him .. anyone motivated enough to show up for a Trump event, odds are will turn out to vote accordingly. all the claims thrown about that this has turned into a movement certainly has merit!

Here's the deal. The GOP bullied Trump into a pledge that he wouldn't run 3rd party and would support the eventual nominee. Now he's the presumptive nominee and they're not supporting him. Some are even calling for inserting Romney at the convention, or even running an establishment candidate 3rd party.

The words best describing them are feckless and duplicitous. Trump needs to be on the phone with the RNC tomorrow morning, explaining to them that they'd better call off their attack dogs and support him, or he'll hoist them on their own petard.

I don't even support him as a candidate and this pisses me off!

Spot on! I have been an R for along time but I can honestly say that affiliation is shameful at the moment.

Spot on. It looks to me like the GOP will bury him with attack ads pretty soon, too. Trump does have business failures, but the other candidates have faults, also. I have never liked seeing a bunch of people gang up on one person, because it strikes a chord deep down inside me somewhere that says, "unfair."

If it was the Demos doing this to their front runner, I would not like it anymore than what I see going on now. But I have to hand credit to where credit is due, and the Demos are not self-destructing.

If the GOP doesn't support the front runner at the contention and tries an end around brokered convention, it will shatter the republican party and the Dems will take control for a long time.
