Mr. Barr made real news in that Senate hearing, and while the press didn’t notice, Democrats did. The attorney general said he’d already assigned people at the Justice Department to assist his investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe. He said his review would be far-reaching – that he was obtaining details from congressional investigations, from the ongoing probe by the department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, and even from Mr. Mueller’s work. Mr. Barr said the investigation wouldn’t focus only on the fall 2016 justifications for secret surveillance warrants against Trump team members but would go back months earlier.

He also said he’d focus on the infamous “dossier” concocted by opposition-research firm Fusion GPS and British former spy Christopher Steele, on which the FBI relied so heavily in its probe. Mr. Barr acknowledged his concern that the dossier itself could be Russian disinformation, a possibility he described as not “entirely speculative.” He also revealed that the department has “multiple criminal leak investigations under way” into the disclosure of classified details about the Trump-Russia investigation.

I have ZERO faith in anything that happens in Washington. Still this is very needed and hopefully will shine some much needed light on the swamp. You can't have a sitting president working or at minimum standing by while his party works to undermine an opposition party's candidate during an election cycle.

The CIA and DoS already had Joseph Mifsud under watch when nobody Papadopoulos, who was brand new to the Trump Campaign, first met him two months earlier. When the Australian diplomat came to Hillary's DoS, it was the perfect excuse to open ANOTHER FISA warrant on another Trump team member.

Believe it or not, this will all lead back to Arab Spring, the covert coup attempt on Assad and undercutting Gazprom's hold on natural gas sales in Western Europe. One prong of that involves Burisma Holdings, which is the Ukranian gas company in competition with Gazprom, on whose Board of Directors Hunter Biden sits.

Energy. They all worked in the foreign energy sector in some form or fashion. Trump tapped most of them to shore up the weak spot on his team, which was foreign policy.

When you examine not who the players are, but who they were very specifically talking to and why, it’s all about energy. To be specific, the global energy markets in general and the Western European markets in particular. Why would they target Manafort in Ukraine (after previously dismissing him as a target a few years earlier) while very specifically suppressing investigations into Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma Holdings as a member of their Board by the Ukranian anti-corruption unit NABU? Because Burisma and Gazprom are direct competitors.

Why was George Papadopoulos targeted by Joseph Mifsud and Stephan Halper? Because he was the youngest, most inexperienced member of Trump’s foreign policy team. He was in over his head from day one. Mifsud was the Russian source they dangled in front of Papadopoulos and Halper is the prime suspect for being the intelligence asset inside the Trump Campaign for the FBI/Team Hillary.

Why was Peter Strozk tapped to fly to London to meet with the Australian embassy to be “informed” of what Papadopoulos had said to Ambassador Downer? Because he was already on Team Hillary. That’s why he was so smug and arrogant under Oath before Congress. He’s read in and knows he’s untouchable, so long as he sticks with the program. If he hadn’t, he’d already be dead.

I watched the whole thing and agree 100% that he made them look like fools. I also agree with him not showing up the next day for a grilling by staffers. Never in the history of this country has a congressional oversight committee had staffers interview a cabinet official. It was an attempt to belittle him and his office.
It’s about time we got to the bottom of all this government corruption on both sides of the aisle that occurred during this election cycle. AG Barr seems to be headed that direction.

To be fair, we wouldn't be anywhere near this far into the "why" if it weren't for Adm. Rogers hadn't found out what they were doing with NSA collected intelligence and put a stop to it. They barely got the Carter Page warrant signed before he turned off the tap. We probably wouldn't have had an IG investigation without his refusal to go along. Don't forget that Clapper tried to get him fired too!

For those less familiar, here’s a timeline of events transpiring at the NSA:

• November 2015-April 2016 – The FBI and DOJ’s National Security Division (NSD) uses private contractors to access raw FISA information using “To” and “From” FISA-702(16) & “About” FISA-702(17) queries.
• March 2016 – NSA Director Rogers becomes aware of improper access to raw FISA data.
• April 2016 – Rogers orders the NSA compliance officer to run a full audit on 702 NSA compliance.
• April 18 2016 – Rogers shuts down FBI/NSD contractor access to the FISA Search System.
• April-September 2016 – Rogers continues his investigation.
• September 26 2016 – DOJ’s NSD Head John Carlin files the Government’s proposed 2016 Section 702 certifications. The filing does not disclose the FISA Abuses. Carlin is aware of Rogers’ compliance review. The 2016 certifications are scheduled for Court approval on October 26, 2016.
• September 27 2016 – Carlin announces he is resigning. Mary McCord will later assume his position.
• October 15, 2016 – Carlin formally leaves the NSD.
• Mid-October 2016 – DNI Clapper submits a recommendation to the White House that Director Rogers be removed from the NSA. Clapper’s effort fails.
• October 20 2016 – Rogers is briefed by the NSA compliance officer on the Section 702 NSA compliance audit and “About” query violations.
• October 21 2016 – Rogers shuts down all “About Query” activity. Rogers reports the activity to DOJ and prepares to go before the FISA Court.

• October 26 2016 – Rogers formally informs the FISA Court of 702(17) violations in writing.
• October 26, 2016 – The FISA Court refuses to formalize the 2016 Section 702 certifications. A complete overhaul of Section 702 processes ensues.
• November 17 2016 (morning) – Rogers travels to meet President-Elect Trump and his Transition Team in Trump Tower. Rogers does not inform DNI James Clapper.
