Our POS Wally has one aisle of fishing gear about 20' long. Junk Chinese made stuff that nobody buys. Rod and Reel Combo's that won't make it past the first fishing trip.Bee a long time since I even looked on that isle. Lol. I didn’t know. They use to have a good selection
When I was a kid my grandmother had a bait shop and would hook me up with gear. Used to run an old Zebco. I used to love fishing when I was young. But when I became an adult I just kind of lost interest somewhere along the way and it’s probably been 10 or 15 years since I’ve cashed a rod.Our POS Wally has one aisle of fishing gear about 20' long. ^^^ Truth. Same in Moore. Our POS Wally has one aisle of fishing gear about 20' long.
The walmart in Guymon carries reloaders and supplies. As I understand it, the sporting goods manager pretty much determines what product shows up on the shelves.^^^ Truth. Same in Moore.
Back in the days when nobody was woke the fishing gear at WM rivaled Academy today. Several isles of it. One for artificial baits/lures, isle for rods & rod/reel combos of all price levels, etc. and double isles at that. Ours doesn't have 1/3 what the old one did before they built the new "Supercenter".
I'd like to roadtrip up to Liberal, KS to see if they are what they used to be. They had a serious sporting goods dept. when I was working up there. Pallets of cases of shotgun ammo in every gage and type in all the isles around the sporting goods, a long gun counter and tons of camo clothing and gear. Even by the "old days" standard it was impressive. They like their fishing, bird and deer hunting up there and that WM caters to that, or at least did.
Oh yea? Good to hear. I was working up there when they got their Supercenter opened and moved over across the road from the old one. Iit was a little like when the one in Moore did it but not as bad. Still had some stuff but not as much shelf space dedicated after the move. It seems that over time the store by me has just shrunk the sporting goods slowly. Oh wait...If you like to lift weights or play tennis they got you covered. lolThe walmart in Guymon carries reloaders and supplies. Our scopes aren't marked down at the local Wallyworld.
I went to the Mustang walmart today and scopes were not marked down there either BUT I had the girl scan the label and sure enough it showed the marked down prices.
I went home and got some cash and bought 3.
I was out of cash because she also told me they had some guns left that are marked down.I spent 399 + tax on a 357 Henry lever action.
