I actually had an opportunity to go through a friend. Found out that Sig wasn’t going to have their booth, and possibly others as well. I’ve got 40% of my team out with Covid infections and figured it wouldn’t be wise.
I still have the week scheduled off though, and I’m planning on getting a good amount of trigger time in.

I'm only a few hours away, but the wife isn't fond of gun shows and it would take at least two days to get through SHOT.
I’m headed out there. Like to rub elbows with sponsors and friends.
My business partner and my senior sales guy are going. I refuse to play the silly Covid related reindeer games with masks, vaccine cards etc. I don't expect this year to be very good anyway with so many companies and attendees not going. To put in perspective, I usually get anywhere from 10-15 party invites a year with S&W being the staple (and one of the largest). This year I've gotten exactly one and it's a small event at an off the strip pub for top dealers and S&W isn't even having one.
Only masks at the Venetian and Caesars, no vax BS or anything like that. I've already done all the big parties years ago so they are machts nichts. We have a couple events we go to and the "new" circle bar and that's about it.
Oh I know exactly where face diapers are required, I just refuse to pander to the idiots.
Counting '20-'22 and a few years I was in Iraqastan I have missed SHOT I think 6 times since 2000 so the actual "parties" don't do much for me either but I do use the invites as a yardstick for the industry. In the Obama years, you could go to at least 2-3 events a night, during Trump, MAYBE 10 invites for the week but S&W and Glock were always a given. This year, I think we've now gotten 2 invites which, to me, says a lot about the overall feeling within the industry.
