What a load of ********. No doubt he made good money peddling this **** to the gullible people that favor contrarian view no matter how stupid they are. He's been dead for 14 years too, and the cause of death is no doubt anything but radiation damage... gotta maintain the scam.

Galen Winsor died at the fairly respectable age of 82 yrs. old. My own dad was in the Uranium biz since the 1950s, & also died of causes unrelated to radiation...like 'old age' (AKA general wear & tear).

Here's an article that claims he was a;Crazy nuclear energy promoter - now dead from leukemia

...& a comment from a grandchild of his-

Can you substantiate your claim that he died of leukemia at 82? Or is this just another one of those lies that go around the internet?
He is my grandfather. He died from https://sci.life-extension.narkive....rgy-promoter-now-dead-from-leukemiaParkinsons. Completely unrelated to radiation.

...Another comment by one of his good friends to the author, 'Taka'.

Taka - you are a complete liar and a promoter of false information. Galen Winsor did not die of leukemia. He died of OLD AGE from Parkinsons. I was a personal friend of his. I won't stand for people like you to spread falsehoods about a man who had all the best intentions and tried his best to promote the truth while dispelling the lies of the nuclear industry. Shame on you!

I never met Mr. Winsor- but his whole point is that all the $$$ is in making sure everyone is terrified of 'Nuclear Radiation'....& not in pointing out that it ain't so scary....so stick to 'Fossil Fuels'...another massive hoax explained by Col. Fletcher Prouty.

Col. Prouty spent 9 of his 23-year military career in the Pentagon (1955-1964): 2 years with the Secretary of Defense, 2 years with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and 5 years with Headquarters, U.S. Air Force. In 1955 he was appointed the first "Focal Point" officer between the CIA and the Air Force for Clandestine Operations per National Security Council Directive 5412. He was Briefing Officer for the Secretary of Defense (1960-1961), and for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

It all reminds of this current 'Covid' thing they've cooked up.
Interesting Times we live in.

I got no dog in this fight. I just want to say that if you are going through Albuquerque, or near it, you really should stop at the National Atomic Museum.

I've been several times and will go visit it again. It is absolutely worth it. It's just a little South of I-40 on the East side of ALBQ.

Nuclear Museum LINK

It's just absolutely chock full of neat stuff. A complete Poseidon sub launched missile. And more, much more.

There are 2 Nuke bombs on display. Here's the story LINK 2 of the bombs are on display (minus the nuclear package) and to me it's amazing how dented up they are and didn't go off. See the pic in the linked story.

There's a LOT more, more than I can list here.

Learn about Louis Slotkin, a nuclear physicist who screwed up and was killed by the nuclear radiation in a foolish accident. Slotkin LINK
Slotkin should get your attention, this is relevant to the topic on hand.

Yeah I have noticed the media trying to minimize the fear of nuclear war lately since they and our leaders are trying to start one. It would be hell on earth and those that didn't die in the blasts would die of radiation sickness and starvation.

As for the snake oil, I seem to recall some guy whose jaw fell off after drinking radiated water for years.

Another interesting place to visit if one is interested in nuclear stuff, check out EBR-1 (Experimental Breeder Reactor - 1) that is the site where the first ever facility was created to test for creating electricity with nuclear. It is located out southeast a ways from Arco, ID. And, if one happens to be in that area, Craters of the Moon isn't very far away either. Craters of the Moon is located southwest of Arco.

Eben Byers drank two to three bottles of Radithor per day! Radium acts like calcium, absorbed by bone. Radium is much, much more toxic (chemically) than lead too. During the early days of synthesizing Plutonium 239 for bombs the assumption was made that it would be much more toxic than Radium because of its higher atomic weight. In the mid 1940's there were 50 terminal patients injected with plutonium to find out how toxic it really was. What we found was the LD50 (50% of the people die within 1 month) of plutonium was 28 grams! To give you an idea of toxicity caffeine has an LD50 of 14 grams. Plutonium is far from being the most toxic element on earth, Polonium 210 has that distinction (read about Litvinenko.) BTW, 1 of the 50 Human Plutonium experiment subjects did contract a rare bone cancer, 2 of the subjects lived long lives and were not terminal. One subject accidently ingested Plutonium solution from a squirt bottle, but was not included in the study.

Other interesting radioactive facts, with the radium girls once proper work hygiene was implemented for radium dial painting (i.e. don't lick the brush) many of those women in subsequent years lived longer than average lifespans. In fact they lived so long that the government study was stopped in the late 1990's (dumb reason by the way, guess they moved on to studying shrimp on treadmills and other important uses of taxpayer dollars.) In Ramsar Iran people in general receive greater than 8 rem per year (NPP workers and Radiologists in the US are only allowed 8 REM and need a year off) from naturally occurring radioactive elements in the soil , water and even open air. Those people actually do live longer than average lifespans. In the beginning of use of X-Rays, many radiologists died of cancer, but there are indications that current radiologists who get higher doses of radiation than the average . There is evidence of what is called Radiation Hormesis (added resistance to disease and cancer.)

Unfortunetly much of of what we think we know about radiation and radioactive materials has been shaped by movies and sensationalist TV and newspaper news.

My Dad had Uranium Claims/Mines in Wyoming, Nevada, & New Mexico. The stuff leaches right out the soil (as it is just another local mineral). All the Cattle, Jack Rabbits, & Coyotes had the proper number of heads & appendages in spite of it 'contaminating' their water.
I was one who always heard that these substances were highly toxic- but I'm no expert like Mr. Winsor.

I'm sure cigarette smoke, & covid shots & boosters are 'safe & effective', & always take my 120v boom box
with me into the shower (so I can dance in the wet tub) ;-]
And I drink LOTS of Kool-Aid!
